But I've defined a function g precisely to avoid NaNs caused by $\log 0$ or $0\log 0$, so I'm puzzled as to what causes the NaNs. Also, I am very reluctant to hard-coding of my integration upper limit, as you suggest. Is 20 enough? Or should I set 50? I have to do some computations with very big numbers values, so my matlab code returns "Inf" and "NaN.. I want to know if there is a way to avoid this problem?
